Hi!

A friend of mine gives me stuff to sell but sometimes I don't move on it very fast because I know little about the things. He gave me a couple plastic bags of old "wagon wheel hubs" this summer and I'm asking you all if there is any value to this steel/iron.

The lot includes:

2 rounds that measure 9 3/8 inches across (inside diameter) and 1 1/8 inches wide. There are no holes in these two (picture 2).

2 rounds that measure 8 inches (inside diameter) and 1 1/2 inches across. There are 2 holes in each of these, seeming both on one half of the round (picture 3).

1 round that measures 7 3/4 inches (inside diameter) and 2 inches across. There are 2 holes in this one that seem to be a bit more even across from each and sort of in the middle of the round (picture 4).

2 "caps" (or maybe these are the actual "hubs") (picture 4)

10 brittle "double headed 'bolts'", about 3 inches long (picture 2)

2 cotter pins (or at least they look like one) (picture 2)

1 square headed nail, about 1 3/4 inches long (picture 2).

The 2 "caps" look functional and in good shape from what I can tell.

Just curious what you all think... [Linked Image]

Hah! I have a couple boxes of the same rings! Going to find some use for them someday. I am thinking they may be wrought iron and so knife makers may have an interest in them for layered billets.

The rings appear to be the bands from a wheel hub. The "double headed bolts" look to me like rusted rivets. No idea what the other pieces are. Value is whatever you can get for them.
