My new fur shed will not accommodate of current way for fleshing critters. Can anyone recommend a commercially sold fleshing system that either mounts to a wall or is free standing?
Thanks Griz

With a 4" and 6" fence post leaned up against the wall. Problem is that I need something for the bottom of the post to set against on the floor and my new shop has no corners.

You might want to check this out.. They have several options available for mounting beams. I saw them being used on portable skinning tables at the FTA skinning demos this year. Worked pretty slick!

The first thing we need to know Is what we are dealing with.

my beam has a large hinge bolted to the bottom end of my beam. the other end of the hing Is fastened to one end of my shelving system. The hinge has a pin so I can remove the pin and take the beam and store It away during the off season. I use a regular saw horse under the beam to steady It and keep It at the right height. This system works for me.

I haven't. Not sold on any of the things I've seen. I'm coming down to the wire now so I'm going to have to make up my mind...

Make your own. Use a 2X6 cut out in the shape of a large fox board with edges curved. This size and shaped beam will accommodate all pelts larger than mink, marten, muskrat, etc which are easily fleshed on their own shaping boards using a small pelt (stirrup) fleshing tool. Also build it to fit your height angling up about 30 degrees to your solar plexus.
