Bigger skidloader? When I hauled hay most large farms had a larger payloader with grappels that could take two round bales at a time. Most said it was cheaper in the long run to have larger machines as used ones where more cost effective to buy and the maintenance was cheaper since they didn't work as hard as smaller machines.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

Lots of guys use tractors, skid steers for about everything I wanted a skid steer myself but after using it and moving dirt piles around it would be hard to justify the price of it. Maybe you could rent something if the jobs not that big of one.
My neighbor has a skid steer so he’s available we exchange chores often but if it’s a bigger job I just pay him he has expenses with the thing. I look at some farm sales or auctions if your dead set on a pay loader.

Why not a tractor with front loader ?? Its way more useful than a payloader and those things are heavy compared what they can actually lift and would probably not be good to drive around in a hay field if the ground is not hard as concrete. Or they will leave ruts.
