Ok, for those that call, which e-caller do you use? I have an el-cheapo ICOTEK and an OLD Foxpro. I like the fox pro just because it has more sounds. Of course half the sounds I don’t use or need. I’d like something where maybe you could just pick the sounds you want. I have no need for Snow Goose, Elk, Ravens, Turkeys, etc…
Coyotes, hogs, fox, prey, coons, and crows would suit me just fine.

My fox pro Firestorm came with 200 sounds and I agree alot of them are of little to no use so loaded the sounds on computer and simple deleted the one I do not or have ever used then reloaded back onto the transmitter. A lot easier to scroll through those to find what I'm after.
Did add an external speaker

I am currently using a foxpro patriot with mfk sounds and a primos alpha Dogg.

I am probably going to get a foxpro x24 with mfk sounds next.

If it makes a track on this earth , I can catch it.

If you want to pick your calls and have the best sound ever, then here is your answer. Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth it to me. I gave my other e-callers away to beginners.

I like the old Foxpro 416B & 532B callers....These are the old ones that look like a Ray-O-Vac flashlight case that fits handily into a coat pocket & weighs very little.

The advantage of these older callers is that they were made before Foxpro tried to marry you to their proprietary sounds.

30 second sound loops, and you can use a Foxpro PG-1A adapter to record yourself calling from a microphone, or record from a jack on a record player, cassette player, MP3, etc....The big advantage to that is you can utilize older, more obscure sounds that everyone & their brother no longer uses.

Many think you need the most modern caller with all the bells & whistles, but the $$ it takes for those features doesn't justify it in the end.

I am going to keep an eye on this one as the whole calling thing has me intrigued .... never seen or heard one of those things but keep reading that they work. may be a giggle in conjunction with the NV scope and lamp for night time predators

Ive used the Foxpro Shockwave for a number of years now....mostly calling bobcats. It seems to be a good caller, cant compare it to others as Ive never used others. With all the sounds it comes with, I only use about 7 or 8 including rabbit/hare and woodpeckers of different sorts. I got a good deal from a friend that was getting rid of it...I likely would not have paid full price for that unit based on my limited use. Good luck with whatever you decide...

That's my rig, the old 416B Fox Pro and the recording adapter. Also I got the remote speaker with 100' of cord; that comes in handy sometimes.
I've had this rig for over 20 years. Works well enough that I've not upgraded to anything else.
Four sound loops is all I use. Plenty enough. Very simple unit to operate..

I use my FoxPro Hellfire when I use an e-caller. I prefer to use mouth calls in close cover with a shotgun though.

I don't have an ex caller but live about 15 miles from the FoxPro folks.

I'm going to say they learned what works in an area that if it works here, it should work where critters have less pressure. (that's about everywhere)

Good Lawd!! The prices of some of these mentioned must come with a coyote and rabbit hooked up with a microphone!!
That X24 or Wildlife Tech would require safe money. Momma would definitely notice if I just used checking on the bank statement!!

You have a great caller Osagian, and I'll take simple & dependable anyday!

Handcalls & shotgun are my favorite much of the time as well.

Even my old fox pro wildfire caller I could add or take away the sounds I wanted. Maybe look into that before you buy a new caller.

Where I’m hunting you have to stand to be able to see right now, and then you’ll see them “jumping” unless they use a feed trail or a road. If they do you’d have to set up on the road, if not you run into the same situation. We’ve had a good rain and still green for the most part here. Our land does “roll” some and I try and make my stands as close to where I think they are near the tops of the “rolls”. If you watched any of my hog videos you’ll see them disappear in the brush, so a coyote is really hard to see.
Once the vegetation dies some and we block, it might help. The next burning season should be really good if I can get it figured out by then, lol.

Also have a fox pro 416B that uses battery’s. Sent it to fox pro to have it reprogrammed the year before we were allowed to use electronics for snow geese in spring.dropped one call and added a snow goose sound. Served me well and never upgraded.it has served me well

Lucky Duck for me.
Lots of good sounds and you can add your own. Plus it will swivel and comes with the little fluffy attractor that plugs in the top.
