Who’s heard it what’s your thought on it I personally I think it’s great and spot on. Can’t post the link it has swear works so just go to YouTube it’s all over there. Worth listening to.

I love it and that was the only song that played in my truck for a week or so. I think it's spot on and Oliver is a very down to earth and humble guy it seems. I mean the guy cancelled a concert because they were 90$ for a ticket.

If you're 5'3" and 300 pounds, our taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds.

Amen to that!

I love the song, they are all a bunch of bought and paid for crooks in DC who have no idea what working for a living is like. Almost every single one of them. I loathe them all too.

Check out Oliver Anthony's other songs. Then check out Ayla Schofield's cover of his songs adding her voice and fiddle... Absolutely perfect fit of voices!!

This is the line that resounds with me being surrounded by welfare lifers. Most all of them are overweight and have the money to frequent buffets and are terrible wasters of food and non tippers.

Saw a big ole welfare family in the bowling alley one time. They ordered a HUGE amount of food.Pizzas,,wings,, fries,, burgers. They wasted at least half that food.Even left a whole pizza sitting there.Bunch of wastefull slobs.Tax dollars hard at work.

When do the Union bashers come in here and say "If hes jealous of the rich men,,he should strive harder to be one or start his own company",,,or "if hes not happy with his pay,,,he should find a better paying job or make himselfe more valuable to the company".. Just wondering. wink

I don't believe a singe one of them would turn down my pay and benefits. Kind of why I layed them out in the other thread. Figured if they had it better they would chime in. Wel none did. Now they probably couldn't Handel my hours though.

I guarantee I wouldn’t work the hours you work. Life too short! Had a brother didn’t make it halfway to retirement and I may or may not but not gonna work my life away in case.

Not that crazy about it. It’s a feel good tune that just lets a little pressure off the pot, setting back the blow up at least a year.

I wish politicians would look out for miners,
and not just minors on an island somewhere.

Drf. I had a son that was killed at 16 months old. I missed a lot of his short life working. Mom has stage 3 cancer in remission for now. Life is short and there is no guarantee for the next min let alone tomorrow. This a fact. It's a balancing act between goals and time management. And I fail miserably at rhe time management . - But I have watched the difference between my grandparents. One set was reliant on social security and alway worried about money the other was comfortable and wanted for nothing. I'm shooting for retirement from off farm work at 57 and 100 % debt free and small passave income comming in and with year emergency fund by the end of next year at 44. At that point I won't need much income at all just for utilities and property taxes and play money. At that point I will have the freedom and income to live life and on my terms and have the option to work a whopping 5 months a year and still make 70 to mid 80s depending on if those days are 12 or 16 hours worked. I could die or get sick sure . It's all a roll of the dice. This is the best path for me. I could work less and have time to do things but limited money to do them with when young. Or I can work save and invest when young and have both time and money to do things when I'm a little older. So those elk, moose, bear and bird hunts I always dreamed about but could not afford I will be able to do. If I'm alive and healthy that is.

My path is not for everyone. But when I hear about all my privilege, or being a lazy union worker once I get there and am living life in comfort I will just think well if those lazy folks would have worked more hours and saved and invested instead of blowing the little money the had and not working( you have time to spend more when your not at work) they could be here to. While thinking about all those 16 hr days and 97 hr weeks and driving 26 year old vehicals all those years.

Neither is right or wrong just different paths and choices.
