I just saw a Christmas commercial on TV. It is the middle of September! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!

I’m old enough to remember Christmas preparations started right after Thanksgiving. NOT right after Labor Day?

Our local Menards is already starting to clearance some Halloween stuff, and already has some Christmas on the shelves. In a week or so I suspect Walmart will put up their Christmas tree displays.

Got it spoiled before it starts. Sickening. But they would not be doing it if there were not enough morons to make it worth while for them.

Canada we have Memorial Day Nov. 11. US equivalent of Veterans Day I suppose. Always said, out of respect, should be no mention of commercial Christmas, til after Memorial Day.

And time enough for Halloween commercial stuff Oct. 1.

And then the heathens have Boxing Day Dec. 26 sales. Where is the holiday for the store workers? They probably spent Christmas Day stocking shelves. Boxing Day is for visiting friends and family not shopping.

Sorry guess I am stuck in the civilized past.

And while I am at it our Christmas tree, that we cut ourselves w the grandkids and formerly our own kids, gets put up Christmas Eve. I do it while the wife goes to church w the kids and grandkids. She puts the finishing touches on it when she gets home. And then the wild goose is got ready to put in the oven first thing early Christmas Day for mid afternoon family dinner. And the tree don't come down til day after Old Christmas Day Jan. 6.

And none of it gonna change.

Sorry touched a nerve lol.

Even The Simpsons agree. After their Thanksgiving special, the end of the episode kinda shifted to Christmas…..at least it used to.

Some folks on here seem to have uncomfortable childhood memories of Christmas...or something else is going on in their heads.

Some therapy might help ya'll alleviate that.....

You want a shock WissMiss go to Costco and Sam's Club. One isle in Sam's Club Halloween decorations and the next isle over Christmas.
I'm with you Christmas starts the day after T-day.
Halloween about the first of October.

It’s a ploy to push stock prices up. The main earning season for most retailers is the Christmas period. Earnings had fallen off before COVID so they extended the timeframe that earnings were counted to make their bottom line look better. I’m not making this up Just look it up .

Had my Christmas shopping done in April . Never liked last minute shopping or shopping period.
Plenty of birthdays and other things to mess up my shopping plans.
