It’s been a while since I’ve followed the UFC. I dropped the sports package from my cable a couple of years ago, MMA is the only thing I miss.

I was glad to see Israel A. get knocked down a peg. I don't like it when a good fighter starts talking like he's invincible. I know you got to have a little bit of that in you to be a champ but when you get too cocky you look like a chump to me. I give him credit at the end of the fight he took it like a man and clapped for Strickland.

Yeah he was pretty humbling in defeat. I was glad to see that they weren't at odds with each other when it was over. And it was obvious that he got whooped. And I agree One of the worst things when it comes to fighters is when they get too puffed up.

Lug nut I wouldn't be able to live without UFC. Well maybe I could but I don't really watch anything except UFC or trapping videos on YouTube.

I did not see that coming! I thought Sean would be murdered! The guy is a nut but I can't help but root for him. Lol. If you ain't already, check out the JRE with strickland. Yep....Sean strickland is out there! Lol. Loved it when he got tired of holding the belt and just layed it on the ground and the reporters reaction!

I still like the older days when trash talking wasn't so common.

Haven’t followed UFC since our local favorite Matt Hughes was champion

Matt was great.

The trash talk is what drums up the hype for the fights. I just hate it when it gets personal to the point of bringing families into it. There ms no need for that

Sad thing with Matt was the train - truck collision and a devastating head injury has really upended his life , talked to him at Rural King a month back and he’s just a shell of his former self . But a class act always

Love watching the fights but what I dislike is the cocky talk and really dislike the gestures and goofy hype ups etc etc etc. why can’t they all come out like the Emelianenko brothers did. They both looked like they just woke up from a nap coming into their fights lol.

The funniest walk out I saw a few years ago, the guys song was the “tonight’s gonna be a good good night” aaaand 2 minutes later he’s KOed on the mat…lol. Poor guy, started off all happy.
Wonder how the Tyson Fury fight will go October 28th?

Everybody has a punchers chance and Francis hits hard.....but my money is on fury......but I also had money on izzy so.....lol

Never cared for the MMA fights. I prefer the sweet science, boxing.

Watched Dana Whites Contender Seriesast night, had some pretty good up and comers.

I never preferred boxing. Maybe it's my add, but I always thought it too long and got bored with it. MMA just more action packed/fast paced/more explosive....in my opinion. MMA fighters don't usually fare well in a ring and boxers usually don't fare well in the octagon. Just as anyone would expect. Bout like a football player on a soccer field I guess. MMA has gotten more technical and I still like it....but I miss the slugger days! Dan,Don,,Chuck, Stephan,Forest,Tank,Randy,Wandelie,Rampage....just to name a few. Always exciting fights.

Did the NHL start backup already?

Those were the glory days of MMA. I miss them too.

I've been following the UFC since the early/mid-nineties. Remember when it was banned in most of the country in 97 thanks to the late, great senator John McCain?

Don't remember what year but I would rent the videos from western auto. Very brutal back then! Those days, they fought till they lost! Break your hand but still win, you fought again with broken hands! Gracie was the king, but I just didn't care for jujitsu style of fighting. Obviously very effective, but I like the stand up battles personally. Times change. Lol. Kinda like when I rode bulls in the 90's and 2000's vs the caliber of bulls today! Those guys were monsters in the day, but these fighters today get a hold on them and it's over.
