So I need to get a security system for my cabin. I am needing 5 cameras, prefer wireless. I really don't want to pay a monthly fee but would like one I can moniter from my
phone? Getting a live person to talk to is painfull. I was looking into Arlo, Blink, Simlisafe or Ring. I know there was a thread quite some time ago. Any advise guys?

I use silent Guard. But I pay the monthly fee just for fire protection mostly. Look on Amazon. The all in one kits are really good. If you look for one there they will send you a notification when there is a deal on them My son has one that comes to his phone and cost 10 bucks a month.

Maybe the WYZE cam would fit your needs?

I assume you need a good cell signal at the camera? My cabin has spotty reception at best.

does your cabin have good internet?

I have Blink and have no complaints.

Thanks guys, I will look into SilentGuard and WYZE as well. I just got satellite Wi-Fi, I am putting a cellphone booster from Verizon on it tonight. I guess its too early to tell
how my Wi-Fi is but I do have TV and internet.

You can PM me if you want more info on Blink. They put the cameras on sale every few months, hard to pass up adding another for a different angle for $50 and no added fees.

Are you wanting a security system or cameras?
I use Vivint for my security system and have half a dozen or more Wyze cameras watching the entire area around my house and playroom. I also have 3 cameras with Vivint…deer bell, living room, driveway.
Both have apps I can monitor from my phone and can talk to anyone through them as well.

Well I kinda consider cameras a security system. I know security systems alert the police right away
But to be honest it would take them at least a half hour to get there. If I’m alerted I could call three guys and they’d be there in 5 minutes, I’d call them first

I’d go with Wyze cameras then. You can even set them up for alerts.

He has no sense of humor with strangers. Unless they are children. He loves looking after children.

Do small animals set off the Blink Cameras? We have a driveway alarm, we stopped using, because every cat and blowing leaf set it off.
