I think it's non-stop doom and gloom from the TV One reason not to watch the news or the television at all unless for movies

I think it's the way people are being raised. In the 80s if you fell on your bike and skinned your knees your Mom would tell you she told you that would happen and go about washing the dishes, telling you the peroxide and bandaids were in the medicine cabinet if you needed them.
In the 1990s the mom would stop washing the dishes, clean your knee up for you, and bandage it up.
By the 2010's the mom would freak out and rush you to the ER.
Couple that with the fact that parents are shielding kids in every way possible from anything that might inflict even the smallest amount of discomfort on them, and you end up with entire generations that have no idea how to cope with even the smallest problems that arise.
I think it's only going to get worse.
That said, I do believe that in rare cases, chemical imbalances are to blame but I bet a person would be surprised how few of the people diagnosed with anxiety that that is true for.

This makes a lot of sense. 4 siblings, 3 are doing very well, 1 can’t seem to get it together and blames fear of the unknowns. I just can’t wrap my head around that.

Anxiety. What is it about it that keeps people from getting on with life and living? It's much deeper rooted than what people think. Everyone deals with anxiety on a surface level. When it affects people from getting on with their life it's something more substantial. Chemicals, heavy metals, parasites, viruses, candida, molds, and bacteria's that overtake the body when it's weak can have a great impact on the brain and its chemistry. Bacteria, viruses, or parasites in the gut can have a great impact your body not being able to absorb the proper nutrients, which in turn robs the brain of being able to cope properly.

I believe in some people it's hereditary. My wife has anxiety & depression problems and take meds and sees 2 different doctors for it. Her grandfather had mental illness and was committed for it by her grandma back when they did such things. Her dad had her mother undergo electric shock treatments when they did those back in the day. Thank God they did away with those. Anyone that thinks that this crap isn't real or they bring it on by watching tv doesn't have a clue.

Depression is like cancer. If you haven't had it, you can't imagine what it's like.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.
