I like PB Fit. Tastes like peanut butter. Same amount of protein but half the calories

Some type of tree nut, meat, or cheese, I’ll eat peanuts but the peanuts can bother my arthritis.

Don’t think I have one. Guess it would be peanuts. I’ve never gone long enough where I’ve needed food, as long as I have water I’m good.

Copy and paste from the thread about "what do you eat every day." or something like that:
RedMan, Vienna sausage, gas station hotdogs, and Diet Coke."
When I go into my favorite gas station, I just tell them that I'll have the "Trapper's Special".
The Indian gentleman always has the RedMan on the counter before the door closes behind me when I enter. His name it Preet, pronounced PDeet. You kind of roll the "R" just one time. Takes a while to get it right.

In the past snack cakes were my go to now it’s tough eating sugar free so meat is my filling energy along with sugar free cookies and nuts.

Coffee. I eat a good breakfast and very seldom eat lunch. I drink coffee all day if I have it though. I will occasionally make Hudson Bay bread (I'm sure you can google a recipe) to take camping. smear about a half inch of peanut butter on it and it is more potent than any energy/protein bar commercially made. If it is down around zero though you need to put it on the defroster or Snowmobile motor or something to warm it up though or you'll break a tooth.

if your trying to control diabetes, fat is your friend.

FWIW heart disease is still the number one cause of death in spite of the popularity of low fat diets. low fat is the cause of the surge in type two diabetes. At least thats what I have come to believe. Its an epidemic on Indian reservations and among people living on foodstamps. They eat mostly carbs due to economic reasons. We humans are supposed to be predators, omnivores, with animals being a huge part of our diets.

It’s salt, fat or sugar just pick your poison cut out all 3 and your eating tree bark then. One thing on the Rez is the amount of commodities that are given out its poison in a can packed with a lot of salt and starch. I noticed when working the jail the amount of salt/pepper added to meals by the inmates was excessive I don’t think most folks could eat the stuff.

Moderation is the only way to eat and still enjoy it I just cut out raw sugar completely but it’s not easy so a guy slowly sets up foods that are enjoyable vs that nasty healthy stuff.

Well you can't survive without salt or fat. Cross those off your list.

I realize as a cop you suffer from donut addiction. We're with you during your time of withdrawal laugh

Sugar is the number one cause of insulin resistance leading to heart disease.

Danny is correct, fat and protein are both your friends.

Throw in a few carbs if you're going to be burning calories all day above the normal expenditure. Something like greener banana, sweet potato. No processed food.

Salt in a reasonable amount is not a problem.

If you run high blood pressure read up about magnesium supplementation. Many people are low which can cause high blood pressure.

you see I could try for low blood sugar but can't ever seem to get there 89 is the lowest I have ever recorded in 2 years and that was after pulling a deer up hill a 1/4 mile

a handful of peanuts here and there through the day if I am just too busy to eat and maybe some string cheese
