Heating season, believe it or not, will be here soon. Usually fill up before October 1st as the price per gallon of propane will rise a lot once the cold weather arrives. Checked around and I found propane at $1.15/gallon to fill my 500 gallon tank that I own. Made it through a full year with 38% remaining in my tank. Use propane for my furnace, two gas stoves and a water heater. How are the propane prices where you live? Do you own your own tank or lease? I don't need to lock in the price as I burn 6 cords of wood per heating season and never have used enough propane to fill but once per year.

Wow prices under 2.00 per gal, locally 2.35 and that is the lowest it's been in over a year. If you fill one of the smaller portable tanks at one of those stop and robs you're looking at 2.78

Come to the Northeast and take it in the shorts...pre buy 400 gallons ...3.72 per gal ...from the pirates here.
Was going to change to another company ..@ 3.19 per gal...
But will have to wait until this tank is about empty ..to do the swap

Evidently my timing must have been good as the lady behind the counter, a friend of mine, said that the price had just dropped to that level and was as slow as she has quoted in quite some time. Perhaps the price will still come down elsewhere too.
