You would think they would go to green ammo that becomes inert in a short amount of time if they wanted to limit the stockpile of ammo.

I would hate to guess how many billion rounds of ammo or how many mega tons of powder are privately owned. Perhaps the government would like a good estimate? Perhaps its an attempt to show the timid among us that government is trying to protect them? Seems to me like there is a faction of would be tyrants who are nervous that the American working class is armed. Fearing everyday honest people that choose to be armed, terrifies me.

Really a non-issue as proven when a family members house burnt down. Yes it sounded like the 4th when the fire got to his ammo room but it was no danger and the fire burnt well before it hit his powder as it did after it has burn it up.

I’m an FFL and thankfully all my local ATF agents are good folks. I recently spent six hours in inspection with them going over all my paperwork and while it was friendly and I did fine, a question did come up about black powder, and I found it odd because I operate out of a home that’s registered as a business don’t have a storefront and they still asked. He had that I’m sorry I asked that question look in his eyes when he asked me, so I’m wondering…
