That junk is soft and slick when wet and you sometimes wonder if it’ll hold, when it dries it’s almost chisel time. I’ve learned my properties over the years and know just how far I need to drive an anchor. Some places with normal dirt I can go 14” or so. Other spots 6-8” will hold anything we got down here, and you’ll still soak a shirt getting it out!! I can just about go by feel when driving the anchor in, lol.

Figured I better get them out today while the ground is still wet from this week's rain. Let it dry and I'd need an air hammer to chip them out.

Broke many a sob buster hammer trying to dig hard ground with it. Plus chisel makes a much cleaner trap bed. When dry our ground will come out in fist size chunks is you try digging it with sod buster, which can make for some over sized ugly beds.

I had two break the chain trying to pull them but I still came back and dug them up.
