Yes I have, don't need permission from the wife though. I buy, maintain, fix and install all the appliances. It doesn't hurt the dishwasher. I run awesome cleaner with dawn detergent to clean the grease off them. I then run the same cleaner through the dishwasher empty to make sure there is no oil residue left. Those look like their packed pretty tight. Did one washing clean them good or did you run it one more time?

… I’ll run new traps through one cycle with soap… then another with just water… ready to wax the next day
Insert profound nonsense here

I washed a few dozen new Duke #160's once, never again! The entire inside of the dishwasher became coated with a good film of rust. Took hours to completely wipe clean all the sides and especially the plastic racks! Never again!!! … my wife must do that lol .. never noticed… either that or the 2nd water only cycle I run clears it out
Insert profound nonsense here

That process is to remove grease if they are new !

I used to do that all the time. When I was a kid, my mom even let me dry boarded beaver in the living room if I was in a time crunch for an upcoming auction.
