I have shot a few back in the day with my .44 Ruger Super Redhawk just to put meat on the table. I mostly bowhunt now for the same reason.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

I hunted small game back in the 80's but I went full time for big game in 1990. I've taken deer, antelope, elk, bears, and moose with my handgun. I prefer to use 6 guns (5 shooter in a FA 454) but I also use some single shots a few times. I have no idea how many game animals I've taken. I wish I would have kept a hunting journal.
My only regret is I've never taken an elk with my revolvers. Even though I try every year

Have used one to fill most of our anterless tags for several years now. It’s a CVA scout in a .243. Shoot really well. Was really proud of this one. Cold and snowy day, 245 yards. It’s not big game, but also enjoy taking a stroll through the hickory patch with my .22.

After my Stroke I used a Savage Striker .243 Rem.

on this Antelope (young buck at 251 yards.
