Those are some nice looking deer! The fun part to me is finding him, figuring out his pattern, and then hunting him exclusively.

It is foolish to post pics of deer you plan to kill ahead of the gut pile. This is especially true if you hunt on someone else's land and post pics of a monster. That is a sure way to have cousin Smedley come and convince uncle Spineless to kick everyone else off so "family" can hunt it. It also shows your local trespassers where to go with you doing the work and them reaping the benefits of yours.

I agree Mark but with me a targeted buck is the one I kill on a given day these bachelors will break up and roam who knows where but the thing I’ve used cameras for is to see what you never see in the day. A few years back had several pics of a non typical on ground I own 15 miles from my house I knew the neighbor would kill him and he did score was 223 inches

Haha, it wouldn’t end well for anyone to trespass on any pics I’ve shown. I don’t post pics of trophy’s anyways. And no one is “buying” or even “leasing” this land out from under anyone.

But, I have seen what you’re talking about first hand. Getting out on a magazine cover and you don’t own the land then that’s a guarantee you won’t kill another deer there, lol. Most likely the landowner will kick you off. Seen another instance where this guys family had hunted this land for umpteen years and then out of State guys came in and paid 3 times the lease cost. Can’t blame the farmer either.

I think I could manage to get him in the side by side by myself, lol. Yeah, I’d shoot him if given the chance. The biggest buck I had on cam last year got killed on the neighboring property of a property I have permission on. The day before that, a guy over 2 miles away had pics of him chasing does. Quite a few properties in a 2 mile stretch around here. That guy that had the pics the day before was legitimately mad that someone else killed that deer. Lmao
