I am not knowledgeable of mental health at all. Never been on any meds for it other what am now an it is not considered a med for mental health at all . I do know it is not something I what go around tell coworkers or others at work if u value a job . Preety mean world nowadays , probly take medication weeks to work an try different ones? Who knows. I heard mental wards where in straight jackets or tied up an electric shocks or what not. Just so no can't work or drive under doctors release. But this paranoid crap or whatever it is when start think things over repeatedly or keep look things is worse then way back when or at this time a year. Summer . I think depends on mood or time a year. It just totally sucks an very little fun at all nothing . Very hard get over it after 4 or more decades. I think I'm last year to 2 yrs. Gradually worsen . I think if do nothing . Lifespan could be cut much shorter . It can cause heartattack or something . Really wierd to me this stuff is an shocking lately an ppl start notice. Monday was crappy day

May I kindly suggest reading the Bible, Dave? It's not my intention to take away what others are saying but rather add to it. Reading the Bible is supposed to help with depression.

Agree with ADC the world doesn’t need to know your business I think we know too much of coonman's business. I wonder why? P.S. Did you ever buy that shovel and start digging up your sewer line? Sorry, something else to worry about.

Lots of good advice on here.
I have a daughter that struggles with depression and a couple years ago she took an excessive amount of Benadryl to try and "ease" her pain.. As a parent, its heartbreaking and gut wrenching watching this play out. Without going into all the details, I'll share my experience with our daughter. She has done the "meds" and the therapy protocol, still speaks to a therapist once or twice a month. She is off medication, which some days makes it awfully tough. Without question, the number one thing that has improved her overall mental health is her change in what she eats. NOT one single doctor asked here what her diet looked like during all her "assessments." The questions were about emotions, feelings, self doubt, coping skills/mechanisms and a myriad of other things. They didn't ask if she got outside in the sunlight, walked, got any exercise, fresh air, etc.. I am here to tell you that these things are VITALLY crucial to one's overall well-being! More so than any medication, which all have side effects.
As a society we are more medicated than we ever have been, why is that???? Why do so many struggle with depression and anxiety, especially in young people? We are more unhealthy than we ever have been, our kids life expectancy is now less than ours, why is that?
I wish nothing but the best for anyone that struggles with mental health issues. All I'm saying is look "beyond" the typical "medical protocol" that we as a society have come to consider normal.

I suffer from depression, I denied I had it for years. Being married with three children working all the time , I figured it was just stress. I finally realized I needed help. I got on med last winter really helped me. I quit them back in the early summer but I can tell I will have to go back on them. I wouldn’t wish depression on my worst enemy. By all means get help and talk about it. Takes a brave man reach out. Proud of you.

You will probably snap out of it this fall when trapping again. It’s not seasonal depression. He has something different that he will work through with therapy and some medication. You got this Dave, don’t give up. It’s one day at a time. You have my number, or you did anyway. If you need to talk, give me a call
