It looks like I will be headed to Boone the last weekend of September. What kind of temperature and weather should I expect?

Just be sure to pack all your winter gear, and your summer gear, and your rain gear to be on the safe side.

Iowa weather is very unpredictable but that is USUALLY a fair weather time of the year.

Late September is usually very nice, but like ADC said be prepared for anything. What in the world are you doing in Boone? Thats where I grew up and I live just west of there now.

My wifes family is from Boone. Her youngest sister is getting married.

Drop me a line, I live in Ames and would love to chew the fat with a fellow trapper

It will be a quick trip fly in on Friday and out on Monday. We haven't seen my wifes family for several years so we will probably be real busy. If some time opens up I would like to meet you as I enjoy talking to trappers from different parts of the country. Thanks for the offer.
