Assail works well and has a short harvest withdrawal. Steed works better but it has to be sprayed at least a couple weeks before harvest. Neem oil works on the powdery mildew. The more cucurbits that you grow the heavier the bug pressure. We have about 3.5 acres this year. Rotation of crops supposedly helps but we have found that 1200 yds isn't enough to make a difference.

If Assail works, I'm in the pink. That is the neonic acemitoprid, and I've already got that. Goes on tomorrow.

Ace has protected my stuff from jap beetles 3 years running.
