I've seen trappers mention Catfish oil, and I've also seen Catfish tar sold by Grawes. What's the difference? I know one is a liquid and one more a solid, but Is it a different process to make them? Or do you use different parts of the fish?

Oil is extracted from some fish through a break down aging process causing it to rise to the surface. There is a heavy cream that develops into a heavy paste in some batches. We get dense fish paste from our Trout Oil rendering process. The heavy paste is a fusing of some of the oil and the remaining fish solids. It is a good all-around attractant and has a quite lingering odor.
