Any good brands to stay away from or look into for cell service trail cams? Have a property about 400 miles away that it would be kind of nice seeing pics more then a couple times a year. I have browning strike force and dark op cams now and I love them but have never used these cell service trail cameras

Most, if not all of the big carriers publish charts showing their coverage areas. They're somewhat helpful but don't account for dips in terrain that might cause some blind spots. You have get out there and see what your real reception is.

I have a SpyPoint at my place 370 miles away and I receive pics good pics. I am in Maryland and the camera is in Williamstown NY. I recently purchased a UBox solar wireless camera. Only $59 on Amazon, or $99 for two of them. I signed up for a plan from Verizon for only $7 a month. This camera will take pics or video, notify me on my phone when its tripped. I can also look at live video anytime. you can turn it 360 degrees to look all around if you want. You can also speak through it, turn on a flood light or an alarm if needed. Kind of like the Ring system, but doesn't need internet. I started using that camera as my deer camera.

Check out Camojojo.
Choice of sending videos or pics.
Video has sound.
Nightime pics and videos are excellent quality.
Very economical data plans.
Highly suggest their solar panel. Saves on battery life. Mine’s been out for 7 months. Still at 100%. Read some guys run the solar panel without batteries. Personally have not tried that.
All camera setup is done through the App.
No SD cards required

I’m happy with Spypoint. The Flex takes better pics & vid. I sign up for a year some time in August, then cancel in spring. You pay the cheaper rate because you’re signing up for a year, then they reimburse your card when you cancel. If I used it 6 months, they’ll give me 7 or 8 months worth back. The first year it was dang near free or the premium package. You get 100 free pics a month so when I cancel the subscriptions I set it up in shady thick bush so I get less pics of sunny branches moving in the breeze. Setting it to only send pics once or twice a day saves on batteries too.
My buddy has a Tactacam and he likes it. At one point, had it set to send at every pic, his batteries lasted just over a day but there were a million deer and bear there.
On most cams you can change the settings to whatever you like.

I have two Bushnells and like both very well. Cuddelink I have 7, the family has 21 total and work well, not in heavy foliage.
