lol I did inquire and the explanation made some sense. I still have some research to do but here is the gist.

Being a diabetic opens windows to other issues not currently experienced and the goal is to keep it that way. I take a small dose of statin, not because my cholesterol is high but it aids in the prevention of heart disease. This bp med is supposed to aid in preserving kidney function. Not that I have an issue but she doesn’t want it to deteriorate. Like I said, I got some reading and research to do. She didn’t say it was a must just to “think about it”.

Did you Doc tell you that many people experience pains and stiffness due to these statins. I found out on my own after a year on them. I told my doc that I dont want to live all that longer if this is the way I must feel.

I did experience that but it went away after I started exercising and dropped 10lbs.

Craziness? That's called preventative medicine. Trying to protect your kidneys so you don't have to go on dialysis. Listen to your doctor, not online dopes who know nothing about medicine or science.

The deal can't be closed unless there is an exchange .

You can't just go home with nothing .

You can't just go to the doctor and have him say " you're fine , go home "

If he takes your money , or someone else's money in today's world , he must then give you something in return so he can move on to the next monetary source.

You can't just go home and tell a story that ends with " nothing" . You need to feel at ease and be able to tell the " story " the one that ends with " well they gave me a prescription for ______" ...

What a crock. I’ve been told by doctors I’m perfectly healthy lots of times. Ive been told “we can’t figure out what’s causing the issue” too. I’ve also been told “nothing we can do for it, you’re just gonna have to live with it. It might work itself out in 10-15 years.”

Not a hypochondriac. I just have one condition that has been chronic for the last 10 years and I haven’t been able to get a doctor that can figure it out yet. Thousands of dollars, several pints of blood for testing, MRI, CT scan, scope, allergy tests, ultrasounds, still no answers. They don’t care about giving you answers, as long as the check clears they’re good

May be Metrpolol? my doctor put me on that for the same reason. It helps remove some protein, which helps the kidneys. I'm on the lowest dose possible of that one.

I don't get it. Normal blood pressure is 120 over 80. Seems like yours is a smidge low if anything.

The bar keeps moving 52. Healthy BS used to be 120, now they want it under 100. By the time our grandkids are adults 120/80 will be high BP. lol

Yep and that is why I only see them when Super Glue won't stop the bleeding.

I have nothing clever to put here.
