otterman trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,741 SW Alaska	buy from anywhere if you must buy. I never bought a salmon in 40+ yrs just make sure the label says wild salmon or wild Alaskan salmon. If it says farmed walk away they dye those things to make them look the right color not to mention feed them pellets made from god knows what We get out of life only as much as we really want and work hard enough to achieve

Decent fishing this year, but pretty dissapointed with the price, even though we kind of knew it was coming. Had a good time regardless; built a sauna, ate good, and got some okay pictures. Sorry to say your way of life is going away. Very soon, Alaska wild salmon will only be sold in niche or boutique outlets. May be good for alaskans, we may never have to see salmon wars at the BOF again. Life is hard. It's even harder if your stupid!
