buy from anywhere if you must buy. I never bought a salmon in 40+ yrs just make sure the label says wild salmon or wild Alaskan salmon. If it says farmed walk away they dye those things to make them look the right color not to mention feed them pellets made from god knows what

The price at my local Costco (Central PA) just went from $12.99 to $13.99/lb. For fresh sockeye fillets. Fresh wild king is $20.99.

I'd be mighty suspicious of "wild caught king salmon" for only $20 a pound.

Just left Pilot Point (Ugashik District) today. Decent fishing this year, but pretty dissapointed with the price, even though we kind of knew it was coming. Had a good time regardless; built a sauna, ate good, and got some okay pictures.

That ole school fish ranching. Much better now. Sorry to say your way of life is going away. Very soon, Alaska wild salmon will only be sold in niche or boutique outlets. May be good for alaskans, we may never have to see salmon wars at the BOF again.

Life is hard. It's even harder if your stupid!
