1/32? Do you plan on snaring mosquitos?

I reckon that's possible. Just hard to fathom, coming from coyote country. My biggest bobcat was better than 35# and netted me $900.00. I'd have hated to have a 25# breakaway on that one.?

I I remember right they where mainly on them high dollar deer ranches . Had to make sure the chance of holding a dee was next to 0. So they would run these ( 1/16th and 3/64th too) 10' long with that light bad and a choke spring if I remember right. Apparently most of the time they would hit the end of that 10' and the super small cable and that spring would put them out like a light or they would just pop the bad. Think they where running the regular stuff in the fence holes and these where in the pens. Apparently deer and cattle would pop them bad all the time ,never held one.... Now that I think about it they might have just been running those for just the looks then 5/64th 7x7 for the rest of the snare ... Can't remember fully.

Small animal snares, mink, muskrat, squirrel, and rabbit, as you don't need a bad or deer stop on them.
Wolfdog91 has a point , as coon and fox can be snared with the smaller cable in some areas , as it breaks under deer stop weights.
Backed with a heavier lead, to do about what he described.
Coon can and will remove a deer stopped snare, while the smaller cable will do the job without a stop.

3/64 good for under ice beaver.
Not a good snare for land fur like fox or cats. They can bite thru them if not wound up quick in the thick stuff..
Went with 1/16 for under ice beaver as well as for cats and fox long time ago.
If you put a small gas tube whammy on your under ice beaver snares the same snare can also be used for cats and fox.

Sorry about the late reply, I apologize. I asked a question and didn’t have time to check for reply’s before I left on a fishin trip.

Anyway I want the cable for fishin leaders. I lose to many big flatheads using braid, even with circle hooks. The back and forth on their teeth abraids the leader enough that it breaks when I get’em up to the boat.

I’ll contact you on monday Knewt.

Thanks
