I have a good friend that was a military vet in South Korea back in the late 70's. One of his duties was the attack dogs they put in the 100 foot wide zone at night between the 2 countries. I hope the kid didn't try to cross in the dark

That's not leaving him it's letting him have what he wanted. He will change I his mind fast but why bother bringing a trublemaking deserter back AR a great expense only to lock him up in better conditions then he will now have also at taxpayers expense. Best to let him rot where he is at. Heck there own people AR endear starving except their plump leader.

Back in 79/80 I was stationed at the 8th EOD in Korea. We got a call to come look at a projectile found by a patrol. It was about 12 inches from the barbed wire fence dividing north and south. Told the guide the procedure for that round was blow in place. That was not going to happen without negotiations with the north. Since we were so close I stuck my foot under the fence and stepped on North Korea. Never heard any more about that projectile.
