Castormound OP trapper C Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,089 Cheyenne Wyoming	Never trapped snappers before. Used to help an old man in the neighborhood on his turtle line when I was a lad. Does the time of year/season matter to their eating quality? Is it best to take them at a certain time for sustainability? Antelope, the original fast food!!

There are 'methods of take' restrictions as well. Snappres are a smelly mess to clean, but excellent table fare. Charlie Old age and treachery will always overcome youth and enthusiasm. Some great turtle trapping threads have been on here. I bet there a few in the archives NYSTA, NTA, FTA, life member Erie county trappers assn.,life member Catt.county trappers
