8 cents per bag for paper bags no single use plastic bags anymore in WA. What gets me is they want to reduce the amount of plastic bags in the landfills so they eliminate plastic bags in stores but still allow plastic trash can liners

Aldi charges for paper sacks and 25 cents to use a grocery cart. You get your quarter back when you return the cart. That way they done have to pay employees to go round up the carts.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

First I’d EVER heard of anything like that, lol. I asked if they sold them and she told me no, I said give me one for free then. I got the manager up there and he agreed to sell me 100. So I paid $10 for 100 bags and left them at the checkout for the next 99 customers to use. Went back a couple days later for something else and they still had plenty left, lol. At least they were honest about it.

Aldi also allows you to take the boxes that products are shipped in. That is what I do. Plus it cuts down on their cardboard waste. I get a lot of 'free' shopping carts at Aldi. As soon as I pull into the lot I am scanning for a cart that someone was too lazy to walk it back up to get their quarter. Happens a lot at my local store.

Affirmative.
We will be driving to Delaware now. Going to have to bring your own if you come to Delaware. Some stores have paper bags though.
