A few weeks away for tomatoes here. Cukes are producing, however. I will process some bread & butter pickles soon. Beans and tomatoes with some luck. Frozen s few snow peas.

Put up 21 quarts of tomatoes last week and 35 more yesterday. Main tomato crop will be ready next week.

Pulled the last of the maters and put them on the porch with a fan turned on them to finish ripening. Will put up whatever is ready tomorrow after Church . The rest will most likely be ready by Monday or Tuesday. About a week to 10 days we will be shelling purple hull peas and Butter beans they will get blanched and frozen in quart bags.

I've been shelling and blanching garden peas a couple times now. Time consuming but well worth it for me come winter and having creamed peas available.

we have already picked 1.5 bushels of green beans, most went to the freezer this time. Already canned 2 bushels of tomatoes, getting ready to pick again. Got a lead on some sweet corn yesterday, hopefully it turns out. If it does, I'll be putting up corn too.

Just finished up maters for the year. The ones that we picked yesterday turned out 30 quarts and 6 half gallons. Still a good many to come. I have put out the word for family, friends to help themselves to the rest.[Linked Image]

My tomatoes are just flowering with a couple plants with small tomatoes, so I am weeks away on tomatoes. I am doing lots of brocolli and cauliflower right now. I freeze almost all veggies beside the tomato products and the kraut. Peas will be ready to pick mid week for the first round and beans are flowering. Finally got some movement in the crops after a couple rains. We are still much below norms but at least we got an inch a few days ago.
Yesterday we butchered 24 roasting chickens, so we were busy.
