What kind of tank/pump/sprayer system do you use/recommend? I'm talking about cleaning dirtwork, mowing or logging equipment with water-- &/or a system that will double as an irrigator for trees or garden.

What we use here is a 500 gal tank with a hotsy preasure washer.

Those cubes I see, involving a water tank in a metal frame, are 275 gallons. I've thought about buying 1 if I can find a source. 275 gallon might be bigger than necessary though

A old agrculture sprayer is the best in my experience, you can get small ones cheap at auctions, it's a tank on a 2 wheel dolly.

When I taught pesticide applicator training for farmers the recommendation was to triple rinse equipment and containers. If they used a lot of glysophate, that product has a lot of quartz in it and will scrub the tank prett clean, just get the glysophate out and you should be good. Smaller pesticide sprayers are becoming obsolete around here as most are now using the high boys. They can spray much later and that helps with drift as ou can have the nozzles below the canopy.

Got 2 of those hooked up in parallel then to my 11/2" pump. Works great for watering my trees and in the event of a fire I can hold my own.

$60 is not a bad price. I was hoping to find 1 a little smaller, but I suppose those 275 gallon ones are the main option

I went to the local community garden tonight to see what they use for h20 tanks. Many were the traditional 275 gl ones but some appeared to be these nicely sized 159 gallon Werit (German) tanks

Something in the 150 gl range would probably be preferable to many folks

They could work for a lot of uses. I haven't located 1 yet though.

Just don't fill it all the way.

When buying a pump, pay attention more to the GPMs than the PSI. For cleaning lots of mud off of equipment, volume helps more than pressure.

Well, one of those 275 gallon ICB totes I don't even think would fit to start with.

I hear ya yotetrapper30. I don't think it would fit. Even if it were to somehow fit, sometimes it is a pain hauling around extra bulk.
