I sell it for $4 a dozen, but only in bigger quantities. ( three dozen or more ). Lots of folks get a bushel for freezing.

I haven't seen a y local for sale yet. The early stuff around here is brought in from down south somewhere and tastes like crap.

I'll wait for some local or mine comes on.

Went to our local farmers market yesterday. They wanted $10 a dozen. To say the least they didn't sell much . Normal $6 a dozen

I do not sell sweet corn, but raise 30 to 40 dozen ears each year. I do not know how the farmer comes out on it by selling any of it for less than 5 dollars a dozen, and at that he is not making much on it.

$5 a dozen is a small profit? If you plant say 24,000 plants per acre and have poor germination and ear set and get 80% or 19,200 ears and lets say 25% of those ears are not suitable to sell but usable for you. That gives you gives you 14,400 ears to sell or 1200 dozen at $5 per dozen is $6K. I think I could do a bit better than a small profit on that acre and still have plenty to eat and feed to chickens, hogs or give away.

$6/dozen or $25/bushel(60 ears). $15 for half a bushel. Feels too cheap sometimes...
