Only FFP I've had was a fixed bow SWFA so this is a bit different but intresting. It is pretty cool that at the lowest power with the illumination up it basically becomes a red dot.
Any way 4x vs 16x @100yd

After your post about the sale, I ordered the EPL4 6-24x50.

Illuminated FFP is the way to go for hunting (if you are not going SFP)--in my opinion.

Picking up EL 5 5x25x56 for a shooting friend, tomorrow. He just bought CZ 457 Varmit 22 LR . Area 419, 20 MOA base, & ADM 34mm mount. Will have some good shooting competions, now against my RIm X. Own 1 of the EL 4x16x44 also Wolfdog91, got it setting on a AR 10 custom built 308. My friend is wanting to get into the PRS,/NRA long range 22 LR . Soon as we get rifle set up zeroed at 50 yds., then down load the Hornady Ballistic App, it's time then for 100/400 plus yds. Wolfdog91, look into this app it's free and you can build a shooting app, for your rifle. Any caliber, is in Hornadys load menu. All you do, is zero 100 yds , ( centerfire ) bullet weight, muzzle velocity, barrel twist, scope height from center of barrel, then load ( mils or MOA ) load your shooting dope, and it will give you your range elevation, in Inches, or Mils. All you have to do is zero, rezero, your scope to zero, on elevation, windage, the Arkens are a simple 1 to rezero . Have several centerfires, on Hornadys aps, I use strictly Mils, sold about all my MOA scopes. For the money as I stated before, the EL 5, is one great buy, own 2 of them, mounted on 6 mm ARC, 6mm CM
