I'm planning on getting a new truck this year. Chev's 2.7L with the turbo seems popular. Any one have any concerns w/ that motor? I don't plan on pulling a big camper or anything of that size. I see it actually puts out more HP than my current '09 Silverado.

I prefer naturally aspirated engines. They generally last longer than something turbocharged or supercharged. Smaller engines putting out lots of power is like a light burning very brightly , works good but doesn't last as long.

Not only do they overwork the engine, the turbo gives trouble. Then you have the "lag" when going to throttle. Avoid imo.

I have the 5.7 Hemi and love it. They just need to put the gas stations closer together.
God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

Let me sugar coat this

My Hemi 5.7 gets 23 mpg average. You pull a loaded Horse Trailer in these mountains and get 23 MPG??? WOW!!! My Hemi can't match yours.
