Do you ever wonder why the "news" sounds about the same no matter what corporate outlet you try...? The main issues are that modern journalists are 1) basically lazy when it comes to national and international stories and will take whatever the big universal "grunt" news agencies will give them, and 2) the "grunt" news agencies sit up pretty when they get official press releases from government sources because...well... they are the government and probably have something "important" to say. So, the government news release becomes almost the same story in each end "independent" news outlets.

To be fair, the same sort of diagram could be done with the Russian and Chinese news media but 1) the number of end source "independent " outlets are fewer in number than their western counterparts and 2) most westerners already discount anything the Russian and Chinese media say whereas most westerners believe the "independent" news outlet of their choice. A 100+ years of social science research at work.

Anyway, enjoy the 4th and the founders grand idea!! Those guys really didn't have to worry about a massive government operation that may or may not be working for them...
