410 shells are impossible to find locally but I found 7 boxes of 3 inch 6 shot at Wally World today. When I grabbed a box it was steel shot. Does anyone have experience with 410 steel shot? I bought one box to test but I was never impressed with steel in my 12 gauge so was hesitant to buy the rest.

Not for ducks. Grouse and squirrels I'm sure it would fine for those.

Steel shells have come a long ways since they came out. Some have a MV of over 1700 FPS. You will be fine.

How old is your 410?Some older barrels cant take the steel shot. Also many 410s are Full Choke.Lot of folks recommend NOT shooting steel through full chokes.
