We’ve narrowed down our choices for our 30th anniversary trip, and we really want to go to Maine. We know we are going to travel up the coast, then up north and back through western Maine. Would like to find somewhere secluded on the western side to stay, do some fishing, maybe some boating. Any suggestions or don’t miss stops, thanks!

Jackman, West Forks, Rangeley X2 for Jackman. Good fishing. Been there a few times. Dropped a couple bucks at Bishop's general store.

SE corner Kittery Trading Post X2 for KTP. Dropped a lot of bucks there. Cleaned my wallet out....lol Good factory outlets next to it too.

If you want to tour down east, you can jump on the ferry from Rockland to Vinylhaven Island and back. You will see light houses, crab boats, and get a taste of the North Atlantic.
