Squirrel season opens in Missouri the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend each year. My eldest grandson turned 6 earlier this month. He and I thought that he was ready to pack a gun in the squirrel woods. Saturday he shot at 3 with a .410 and killed his first squirrel. He was super excited. Sunday morning he wanted to shoot my squirrel rifle. With the help of a tripod he went 4 for 4! Now he’s super pumped!! He couldn’t go this morning due to a family reunion on his dad’s side of the family. He wasn’t happy, especially when I sent him a picture of the limit that I killed by 8:30 lol.

I think kids feel proud when family sits down for a meal in which they procured.
Nice work.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo
You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

I’m amazed at the amount of squirrels that are in MO great numbers where I have been to.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I’m a firm believer in starting them on squirrels. Teaches them to use eyes and ears and so many stalking and woodsman skills. He’s definitely my best potential outa 4 grandkids lol. Yes sir heck what did we all start on squirrels to I’m 59 we didn’t kill a deer at 6 for one thing there wasn’t many and no one to sit with you , dad always said squirrels teach woodsmanship, congratulations to your grandson now you have created a monster lol
