I suspect this plant is heavily subsidized. Its being built on government property. An old army munitions plant. The way things are being done leads me to think its all being done cost plus like windmill farms.

Kansas gave them 84 million in tax relief. Rumor has it that they are planning on moving the 435 loop just to the west of them. Straight shot from I-70 to 35 at Gardner.

They may expand an existing road. There is a county rd with a bridge across the kaw river just west of there at eudora. connect hwy 10 which is 4 lane to hwy 24 which is partly 4 lane. 24 connects with 435 at cabelas

Ford also has a large blue oval battery manufacturing facility under construction in Kentucky. They're building twin plants on an approximate 1500 acre site south of Louisville (Glendale) right on I65.

Another smaller Japanese plant is being built in Bowling Green KYon the I65 corridor. It's only 64 acres.

I'm. Sure both of these plants will run on solar power and fairy dust with no chance whatsoever of leaching lithium and God knows what else into our water.

two things i dont like. first its being forced on us. no one i know wants to buy an electric car. two its being done with money taken by force from americans. if it is such a wonderful thing private business would be all over it without government forcing it on us

Danny I couldn't agree more. If there was a public demand or need this industry wouldn't be propped up by government money that was stolen from hard working Americans. I'm very leary of all of the "new jobs" these plants are creating having any longevity. Without a well thought out plan, which nobody has EV is not sustainable.waste "disposal" alone will poison millions. I'm afraid Marty is right about this being the tip of the iceberg. It's not the first thing we've seen forced on our people recently, but I doubt it will be the last.
