Trapping Regulations???? Have they been Written Yet? This is Great News for all trappers! Maybe some other states will join in.

Just make the perfect Bobcat set, and let the games begin.

Just use a Bridger #3 or a MJ600, I've had 3 lion's in them
Trap's and held up very well.

Of course a # 5 is better.

I’ve trapped several lions and have several on camera in a trap. I have lost two lions in Bridger #3. Bridger #5 if legal in your state is much better. On the Bridger 5 make sure you weld laminations, base plate, j hooks, and jaw tips. I had a 130lb female bend a #5 pretty good because the base plate wasn’t welded. The last thought I have is they roll like an otter in a trap. So make sure you have plenty of swivels.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on drags???
I’m using MB 650s and drags for bobbers and haven’t held a loin yet I think they get up to speed and pop out might have to use short chain and anchor

I stay away from drags. For me they get too much leverage when the get to a tree or structure. I’ve held mine with super stakes. All j hooks welded. 3’ of chain with 4 swivels and a real heavy shock spring.

I think Bill favors a Newhouse #48 or #14 on a long chain with an aggressive drag.

I have spent year trying to not hold lions in bobcat traps,,, but if I was to intentionally go after them a sleepy creek 4.5 be my choice if I could use them
