Sorry, just saw this, it was through one of the outfitters that operate Airboats on the Sag River and it's tributaries. We were camped on the Ivishak River, in Unit 26B. I went with North Star Outfitting, but unless a few things have changed I'm not sure I would recommend using him. In 2018 the cost was $2500.

Thanks

This year was put together really fast. We all have to work most of sep and most of our general season. So we wanted to hunt something.

We used to line a canoe up one of the creeks and then float out with the meat, work smarter not harder. Nowadays they have the Alpacka rafts which roll up to fit in a backpack, I've seen a few guys use that method too.........................

On this trip we used canoes with a Klingle lift and a motor, still had to line through rock gardens but were able to use the motor sometimes.....................

Don't forget to take a fishing rod and ptarmigan are common as well. Every day we would pick up a couple armloads of the little willow sticks and by the end of the week we would have a nice pile so we could have a campfire the night before we floated out. Beautiful country up there but the knats can be brutal at times, make sure your prepared!!

where in canada? , I hunted the northeast of Hudson Bay back a few years but heard that is no longer an area that can be hunted.
