Am I the only one who finds the humor in a white woman guiding an indian on a buffalo hunt? lol.

I might be wrong but If the women In the first picture was the guide then she was surly Native American.

Anything that walks out of the park is fair game , the buffalo she shot a couple years back came out of the park 28 hours later 4 of them had it packed out a little more than shooting cattle in a pasture. I would have never imagined posting a couple pics of some success would lead to this .Some people on this forum need to lighten up and quit wearing your feelings on your shirtsleeves .

I’m not claiming Yellowstone bison are tame as cattle. I see bikers given free rides they didn’t sign up for while traveling through Custer State Park nearly every year during the Sturgus wanna be Bikers week. Lol. I’m attributing the Wisconsin “bison hunt” as correlating.

It's all prospective. Some think it's a big accomplishment to shoot a buck out of a box blind with a rifle over a corn pile other look down their noise at it. Some like to back pack in miles to hunt other are happy shooting them from or by the truck. For some it's the method, experience, ect. For other it's getting a kill or x size trophy.

It's no wonder trapping hunting, and guns are loosing ground legally each year. The recurve hunters look down at the compound hunters, the compound hunter look down at the x bow hunters, ect. To busy figuring amongst our self to see we are all outdoor people with comon goals. As long as it's legal why dose anything else matter be happy for each other. Mybway is better than yours I'm more better hunter ect. It's nonsense and on full display.

Every year we butcher 1-3 Angus, if I let my dad or brother shoot we always end up with a "Hunt" that is way more sporting than I had hoped... we have some stories, none will be told online but they include down fences, people being charged and some awkward looks by neighbors.

I've always wanted to butcher a Bison. Butchering one holds more appeal to me than actually hunting one. If I can pay 1,300-1,500 and pop on in a pasture it would be worth it just because I want to handle one and I would make use of the meat.

I read westerns as a kid and in one a mountain man had a squa make him a Buffalo robe with hood and I have always wanted one since I was 14 or so. Now knowing I would likely not wear it much a bed spread my be more useful. And yes I would also love to eat it and keep its skull. They are just neat to be around
Maybe I will buy one.

Ya’ll say what you want but until you walk around out there and see the fetuses laying scattered around don’t act like you know anything about this mess. I’m all for killing them but year round is a bit much. I’m not at all envious, I could shoot them in my pasture for kicks if I wanted to and say my horses were in danger. The way it’s being done is gross.

Man you are brutal. I'm reasonably sure a Buffalo that's just came through a long winter that is probably on thin side isn't as good as a fat Buffalo at the end of summer. I know I'd rather eat a fat beef than a thin aged cow. Guy speaks the truth then you guys act like he's a communist.

I would think they would be drawn down and poor quality, I did just have steak from a bull elk taken neer Lander a month or so back . In was a cull animal and was surprisingly good. I've never eaten spring bison so I can't say from experience what the quality would be compared to seasonal taken animal.

I'd like to have a buffalo head mount and that looks like it would make a dandy! Great colors, very nice bull.
