That yellow oil is a good wood finish. Try some on a self bow. I bet you like it. I have not tried it but I bet its good on round ball patches too.

Danny I used some the skunk oil on ball patches last fall. I was messing with my muzzleloader before deer season. I just used it because I could have never shot the gun enough to really know what I'm doing. I never finished any wood with oil I made. Put it on one pair leather boots and on one leather holster. You can get a golden oil if you heat render the skunk fat with a low neutral odor or sun render for a slight taint to it. Heat Sun rendered on left unfiltered heat on the right
