Went off the trail to make trail to a big dry tree. Sunk right down in the he slush. Dug the VK540 out put it in low gear and it barely walked it's way out. Had to phone for help to get the sled out.

How many times as a through the ice beaver trapper have I spent chewing my way out of pristine snow cornered ponds! TOO MANY!

An old trapper told me long ago that overflow will ruin your day...boy was he right! I didnt have help or cell service. Just another day on the line!

Ryan from TMan commented on my post while I was stuck. Told me flip my sled over and leave it for the next day. I only read the flip the sled over part.
It was way easy to push it through the slush after flipping it and banging off the ice though

Overflow sure makes a nice day turn into a bad day in no time.

Saw it worse than that one time. Two machines with only the top three inches of the windshields sticking out. Luckily they were not mine. They never ran again either. I give the deep stuff a wide berth!

I did that coming back from bear hunting once. Right over the windshield. Had to stand on the seat. Good thing there was a big log on the shore . Pushed it out to rescue me.
