In fact, I would support a Federal law that any elected official that breaks their oath to uphold the constitution should be removed from office and not allow to run in the future. That would put some teeth in SCOTUS decisions.

you just need enough people in the justice department that state you are breaking your oath in going against the majority or even a strong minority and you get predicated for oath breaking.

I am not a Trump fan but they would have pulled that law out 20 times and put him strait in prison for his oath breaking , they would have been rights in at least one instance when he instructed the ATF to make bump stocks machine guns.

The "justice department" has a poor track record of determining what is constitutional, and a great example of some bureaucrats who should be fired.
The Supreme Court determines what is constitutional. And the constitution does not consider majority rule while protecting minority rights. That's why politicians elected by 51% of the population can't censor free speach of the other 49%.
