Google tolbunt polish shell definitely have to have those. Those are really cool looking! My wife wants hens, no roosters! I don't care about aggs and they will be separated from my layers, does it matter with these? Hen vs rooster?

Try the feed stores chick days are coming soon. I'm in pretty good with tractor supply locally, they might get them but no guarantees and no holds. There's only one other place locally and I've never seen them offered.

Not if they are just to look at. Besides the roosters are the more showy of the two. Good to know. Are they as loud as regular layer roosters? She doesn't want the morning wake up! Personally, I wouldn't mind with my neighbor's dogs barking 24/7!

Never owned polish so I have no comparison.
I would imagine being a smaller breed they would be like other small breeds I have. A little more shrill and less volume but about the same frequency of crowing. Noted. I'll let her decide, but I'd be willing to try them straight run. Thanks for the info!

There's often Polish chicks for sale on Craigslist, with no mention of a minimum.
Keith I never thought of that. Thanks, I'll have to take a look!
