I am not telling any one of them how far south I have personally seen Lynx in the wild in Minnesota. They would probably try to ban even more.

A question I wonder and maybe crazy. Doesn't our DNR have anything to say about anything. I know there are CO'S that really want to see some changes in our favor made.

Politicians only respect the wishes of groups who can lay down votes.
If all trappers were members of their associations they would have needed political weight.
Until that happens, kiss trapping goodbye.

The DNR has become so politicized they are no longer managing wildlife with biology in some cases, but with politics. I know for a fact that our idiot governor basically told the DNR that there will be no wolf season while he is governor. If they want to keep their jobs they bow to his wishes. Shouldn't be that way but it is.

The DNR doesn't write law. That'd be up to the 100% Democrat controlled House and Senate of the MN legislature that is now controlled by special interest freaks. It's over folks, they control the direction of the flush.

Agreed but have you ever had a "floater"? At this point that is about all we can hope for.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Maye somebody should write up a bill restricting how pets and a set of rules dogs owners must comply with when taking their pet out into the country or parks or where ever they run.why should the hunter and trapper be the only one held accountable, just how rare is that Lynx over the border?, people in the city just follow the wrong people and what they say.

The lynx are so rare over the border that they have an open season..

It's not about the lynx.

Bingo!

It wasn't in Maine either.

Other than a deer stop, what's the foot hold restrictions it briefly mentions? The article is a pos as far as info goes.
Thanks

Is anyone really surprised by this ruling?

I am actually surprised I can still trap at all in this state. Every year you get, consider it a gift. We are the next California.

I hope you guys are spending some of your computer time messaging these legislators. I have replies from a couple of them that will be opposing these anti-trap bills, and one even from the other side of the isle, which might make a difference.
