Boy they are all awesome but the bluegill really stands out to me. Very nice
The Bluegill was tupelo and my last commission piece for Zim from Patrice. I am retired and playing a lot now. Ha! He sure does stand out! In fact, he's looking right at us in our living room right now!!!

I love the trigger fish. Everytime I want to start carving Decoys someone post some carved Fish and then I want to do that. Those fish carvings are top notch, love the triggerfish.
Thanks, it's big, 29 inches tall and took a long time to do the coral and the texture on the fish's skin. It was the last piece I took to the world fish carving championships and my Wife made me keep it because she loves tropical fish. She loved scuba diving when we were younger. Don't wait to start learning, YouTube has made it easy for you to learn it all. I used to go to competitions to learn and now you can stay home and carve.

Ha! He sure does stand out! In fact, he's looking right at us in our living room right now!!! [/quote] Good thing that was not a crappie, or Patrice would have eaten it by now. There has been some brilliant artistry displayed in this post. Amazing work, guys and gals!!

Great work everyone, this is the reason I used to go to carving shows and competitions. It's nice to share ideas and techniques with others.
