I have video of skunks going in and out of the crawl space via the fork lift holes that the hvac unit sits on. I would love to setup a oneway door and have them let themselves out but there is only about 13 " between the forklift holes and a stonewall. I am thinking about a couple comstocks on either side of the unit but I'm a bit apprehensive on them spraying on my approach. Any suggestions from the Knowledge Base?

Just cover the cages when you set them, not after the skunks are caught. Even early summer/fall "teenagers" don't spray if covered. Not often anyway.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

Contractor bags work well to cover the traps. We used to have a video of skunks going up to the trapped skunk and tearing the bag off it. It must have been a female in heat, lol.

6-inch pvc traps or 9-inch Durapoly traps with cover trap-to-trap. I just removed several from a crawl space using this set-up. I still have some 2-door 6-inch pvc traps from Kirk Dekalb... my go-to for every skunk job. Also using the 8-inch pvc from Z-trap.

One way door set ups work great at the right time of year. Just so long as they don't have any other way into the same area. Frameing the area to fit the right size excluder should be doable. Some clients go for exclusion others want them gone.

Rons set up is a sure thing. Not his first Rodeo.
