330-Trapper OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 63,466 Minnesota	Daniel F. Bakeman (1759-1869) was the last surviving soldier of the Revolutionary War who received a veteran’s pension. Everything else adds up as far as dates, baptism, marriage, ages of children and grandchildren, etc. were all verified. The timing of his life is right for service, but the records were lost in a housefire. And of course it's wikipedia, which is hardly reliable to begin with. Squash trapper S Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 2,492 Tug Hill, NY	Military record keeping during that time was poor. I have 2 ancestors who were Rev War Veterans. In the DAR records we find 1 who served in the CT 5 Regiment, the other they could not confirm. But there were several in their records that had the same name as that ancestor. So I think it boils down to poor or lost records.
