Although some beat the drum and think the sky is falling. From my perspective,and I have been around for a while and seen a lot of things,this so called buy back will be no different than the failed Gun registry.
Some will go cap in hand and turn in guns,just like some registered their guns back in the day.
But,Canadians did not comply with the registry,it was a financial debacle,hardly no one registered any guns and when the next government came to power it went the way of the do do bird.
I see no difference in this so called "buy back". It will turn out to be a big nothingburger like the gun registry.
They have already started to backpedal,and they havent even tried the billion dollar boondoggle "buy back" scheme yet,which nobody is going to buy into anyway.
They might get a few gas pipes with attached flintlocks sold to them lol.
And Poilievre will scrap it as fiscally damaging and not working-same as Harper scrapped the registry,if it even gets that far.

Thats my take on it-why I am not concerned in the least.

We will probably never know WHY AND WHO ALLOWED the balloons to survey Elmendorf, Ft. Wainwright and Ft. Greely on their way to Montana.

China is very interested in Alaska and the Arctic thus balloons even over the north slope.
