looks good so far ,, how are you going to finish off the inside ceiling ? this will tell you what you need to do on roof ? Wood paneling or sheetrock. I'm very open to suggestions, I'm trying to do this right without knowing much about building from the ground up. Most of my building experience has been fixing something that already exist

How much snow do you guys get up there ? I'm an overkill kinda guy I think I would run some collar ties and some rafter ties Or run the rafter ties up 1/3 ( no more , no less ) up the rafter from the top plate to give you a taller ceiling . This could serve as a rafter tie / collar tie. Although I'm annal so I'd prolly still run some small collar ties . Are you going to run electrical ? If so , run a couple outlets in the ceiling so you can plug in some shop lights . You can also run a separate out outlet for a small winch for skinning deer . Just beef up a spot to attach the chain or winch before you insulate and sheet . Building is looking good BTW

We get a good bit of snow but the roof is 10/12 and with it being metal I'm not anticipating any snow issues.
Do you think I need the rafter ties or could I get away without them? I was hoping to keep my entire ceiling , mainly because it looks cool Good question , with that pitch and metal roofing you may be ok . I've never done one with no collar ties or rafter ties , but it's my understanding that you must then use an adequate size ridge beam to hold entire load . Maybe lugnut or someone will chime in What you have going looks pretty good , maybe I'm just over thinking it

If you’re going to put snow and ice shield on it put your tin on the roof deck, screw it in the flats. X2 Collar ties can't hurt but with a 10/12 I wouldn't worry about it. EDIT: I can't quite tell from the picture but is there blocking between each pair of rafter tails....at the plate ? If not, there should be
